With ‘A’ passes in five subjects, two students of Baa Atoll Education Centre (BAEC) made it to the “Top Ten” list of the May/June A Levels.

Preliminary results will demonstrate that four students made it to the Top Ten, according to the school located in Baa atoll capital Eydhafushi island.

Last year, 11 students made it to the Top Ten.

In subjects, 100 percent passes were scored in Business Studies while 80 percent passed in other subjects of Business stream.

In science, there was a decline this year in the number of students with passes.

Many students also scored the “A Star” passes in Islam and Dhivehi. BAEC said that once a recheck is done, there may be a change in the outcome of results.

Though BAEC has been performing well in Edexcel, the number of Top Ten students this year was low. However, two students making it to the Top Ten this year is deemed a great success by BAEC officials.

Earlier, only one student made it to the top of the Top Ten results.

Students who wish to have their results rechecked have until 7 September to apply.
