Auditing of Eydhafushi Council begins
Baa Atoll Council has started an audit of atoll capital Eydhafushi island’s Council.
The move comes at the request of the Eydhafushi Council.
The audit is also done to inform the current Council of last Council’s decisions and projects.
The current Council says that the audit will clear the administrative confusions pertaining to project implementations of the previous Council which had a ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) majority.
Council President Tholal Abdul Rahman refuted rumors that the new Council, within its first week in operation, had tried to get rid of official documents.
